.Spot the Fail: Tabloid Trash vs Vindicated Michael Jackson
Recently, an article was published alleging Michael Jackson paid off several victims he molested over a time span of 15 years to the sum of about £23MILLION(roughly $35Million USD).
Said article claims that proof of these pay offs are contained in ‘secret FBI files’ that only “The People of Sunday” has had exclusive access to.
The scandalous story paints a picture of a “Pimp Michael Jackson” carrying out a ‘sordid fantasy world’ with various children behind closed doors away from their parents. Apparently, on one occasion, Michael was fondling and engaging in a lover’s kiss with one of his alleged child victims with the mother sitting only 2-3 rows in front of him in the cinema at his Neverland Ranch.
So, now let’s play a little game I like to call “Spot the Fail” and help the tabloids learn how to get facts straight and teach them how to
avoid reporting unfounded and absurd stories that aren’t substantiated by anything factual.
Let’s begin!
Fail Number One: Numbers don’t lie…but tabloid journalists do.
In the heading of the article it is stated that there are at least “two dozen(24)” boys who have been paid for their silence regarding the abuse they suffered at Michael’s hands.
However, further into the article, they then say the ‘secret FBI files’ lists SEVENTEEN boys…not 24.
Article’s Title: Michael Jackson paid £23MILLION buying silence of at least TWO DOZEN young boys he abused over 15 years.
Quote from article: The files name 17 boys – including five child actors and two dancers – Jacko singled out for abuse.
Even after stating the number was 17 according to the secret FBI files, they still once again put the number at twenty four even further into the article.
Quote: “It showed at least two dozen children were given money to stay quiet – which came to around ¬$35million (£23million).
A common trait of people who are lying, including ‘jounalists/reporters’ is the inability to keep your lies straight at times.
The evident flip-flopping between numbers may seem trivial, but when placed in the context of the possibility of it being due to stating lies, I believe its worth mentioning.
Fail Number Two: “The Secret FBI Files”
“The Sunday People”(Mirror) admit in their article that they were able to see these alleged “secret FBI Files” because the private investigator to whom they belonged to before they were supposedly confiscated by the FBI, made copies of the files before they were taken.
Therefore, the information, documents, recordings etc that were viewed exclusively by the aforementioned parties were the copies the private investigator made. “The People of Sunday” have not seen any actual documents or files coming from the FBI. In other words, they have nothing to prove that the files they were privy to were actually ever seized by the FBI and/or are in the FBI’s possession. They are ultimately taking an alleged associate of the private investigator’s word for it that the FBI has the originals of said files/documents.
Charles Thomson also explains this in his blog entry entitled “The Mirror, The People, And the Settlement That Never Was…”
From his blog:
“The FBI files” are not FBI files. They are transcripts of interviews compiled by a tabloid journalist who paid his sources-including one who turned out not to exist.”
Furthermore, Michael Jackson’s FBI files were released after his death and there is NOTHING among those files that includes any of the documents, files, audio tapes etc that are allegedly being claimed in the tabloids right now.
As has also been keenly pointed out by Charles Thomson on another blog entry involving this matter, the FBI files prove Michael’s innocence and instead makes it clear that the ones with the ‘sordid fantasies’ is actually the media.
At a time when there’s a lot of attention being placed on Michael’s life and the demons he faced while alive, it’s apparent that the forces that be want Michael to be viewed in the most worse light possible.
To demonize him, the tabloids, have stuck to their lifelong formula of hitting Michael in his most vulnerable places…his alleged drug addictions, and in this case, the endless molestation allegations that keep resurfacing.
Fail Number Three: Secret FBI Files Not Given to Prosecution for 2005 Molestation Case
According to the article, in 2002 these ‘secret FBI files’ were seized upon an investigation that was launched at the private investigator responsible for all the ‘damning evidence’ surfacing…Anthony Peliciano.
In 2004, Michael Jackson was arraigned on child molestation charges. His trial was held in 2005. The prosecuting attorney in the case had requested the FBI’s assistance in their investigation against Michael.
If the FBI had information about alleged payouts or any hard evidence that could prove Michael’s guilt as a molester, it would’ve been the FBI’s duty to turn that evidence over to Tom Sneddon.
If one were expected to believe the FBI had these files that could prove Michael was guilty of any type of indecency or abuse on a child, then the FBI’s failure to hand these items over to the district attorney’s office would mean they obstructed justice.
Oddly enough, despite the Mirror’s claim that this evidence was never given to the district attorney handling Michael’s molestation case, Phillip and Stella LeMarques DID testify in the 2005 trial.
The outcome…the couple’s credibility was rejected when their testimony crumbled under cross examination by Michael’s defense attorney Tom Mesereau.
Fail Number Four: The LeMarques Interview
In 1993, Phillip(ex butler for Michael) and his wife, Stella LeMarques were interviewed by private investigator, Anthony Pellicano.
In that interview, the couple detailed Michael’s alleged Modus Operandi of grooming little boys into his sexual play mates.
According to Stella and Phillip, there was a process of elimination that involved one of Michael’s employees gathering children to visit Michael at Neverland, so he could select ‘the one’ he wanted. The private investigator refers to this as pimp-like behavior, which is followed up by Phillip and Stella describing the ‘stages’ of Michael’s [pimping].
The children visit and are taken to the Amusement Park at Michael’s NL Ranch. After that, the next invitation to return to Neverland only goes out to the ones Michael’s interested in.

Once Michael selected his prey, all night porn sessions, filled with make outs and groping took place…allegedly, of course.
This couple claims there were two secret rooms within the theater at Neverland where Michael would spend his time with the children watching porn.
The most absurd of claims made with relation to the movie theater is one where Michael was allegedly groping his victim and kissing him as though they were lovers…with the mother of said child only sitting 2-3 rows in front of them in the theater.
Committing such lewd acts on a child, when the parent could turn around at any given time and catch Michael in the act would’ve surely landed Michael getting caught sooner rather than later.
If the tabloids had taken their time to do some actual research they would have known the following regarding the LesMarques and their interview.

Fail Number Five: Confidentiality Agreements and Gag Orders
Pellicano’s investigator implies that all the victims paid off remain silent due to signing gag orders and confidentiality agreements and its utter rediculouseness.
One cannot be forced into a contract that would keep them silent regarding the involvement of illegal activities.
The boys and their families who were allegedly paid to keep quiet could have got the money they wanted out of Michael and STILL gone to the proper authorities at any given time to seek justice for the crimes committed against them.
This fact is overlooked often in the Jordan Chandler case. Even after the settlement, Jordan’s parents could’ve still pursued legal charges against their son’s alleged abuser, but they didn’t and part of the reason why is because Jordan, himself, refused to testify against Michael.
Any notion that Jordan’s refusal was to avoid the humiliation of the world knowing he was sexually abused by Michael lacks common sense and logic.
The world was already aware of the sexual molestation claims.
Fail Number Six: Timing
The investigator breaking Pellicano’s silence claims that Wade Robson’s allegations are what prompted him to bring the ‘truth’ to the surface.
That’s just fine, however, exactly how does it make sense for him to wait this long to divulge such an ugly “truth”? For whose benefit is this really?
I don’t doubt it involves Wade, somehow, but not in terms of helping Wade spread any real ‘truth’!
The time to bring this all to light would’ve been in 1993 or at least 2005 by the latest. It would’ve been during THOSE times that the ‘truth’ being revealed could’ve done the most good. It could’ve helped any victims in the shadows and it could’ve prevented any other children from being victimized as well.
“If these files had been released then, Jackson’s career would have been over. But he was the King of Pop and spending the equivalent of a year’s royalties was worth it to keep him on his throne. With the help of people like Pellicano, the world and his fans never heard what took place at Neverland over 15 years.”
As seen in the quote from the article, above, the PI admits that had these details came out in the 90’s, Michael’s career would’ve been over, thus perhaps ending his reign as a mega-super star. THIS is when these details could’ve made the most impact.
Instead, one has to wonder…what other motive could there be for this to make headlines when it did?
This story came out the same day MJ One was set to premiere at its permanent home in Las Vegas on June 29, 2013.
I find it hard to call this a coincidence.
Mere speculation, but its almost as if these stories were put out there by people aiding Wade Robson in his claims against the estate to somehow, push the judge to allow Wade’s claim to move forward despite his claims coming AFTER the statute of limitations.

Recentemente, è apparso un articolo che accusava Michael Jackson di aver pagato diverse vittime che aveva molestato nell’arco di 15 anni con una cifra pari a 23 milioni di sterline (circa 35 milioni di dollari).
Nell’articolo c’è scritto che le prove di queste affermazioni sono contenute in alcuni “ documenti segretidell’FBI” sui quali solo “The People of Sunday” ha avuto accesso esclusivo.
La storia scandalosa dipinge un quadro in cui un " Michael Jackson magnaccia", realizza un“sordido mondo di fantasia” con vari bambini a porte chiuse lontano dai genitori. A quanto pare, in un’occasione, Michael avrebbe masturbato e baciato appassionatamente una delle sue presunte vittime mentre la madre era seduta solo 2 o 3 file davanti a lui nel suo cinema privato a Neverland Ranch.
Così, ora facciamo un gioco che ho chiamato “ SMASCHERIAMO GLI ERRORI” e aiutiamo i tabloid a mettere i puntini sulle i e insegniamo loro come evitare di pubblicare storie infondate e assurde che non sono suffragate da nulla di fatto.
Cominciamo!
ERRORE N°1: I numeri non mentono ... ma i giornali scandalistici lo fanno.
Nel titolo di questo articolo si afferma che ci sono almeno “due dozzine (24)” di ragazzi che sono stati pagati per il loro silenzio per quanto riguarda gli abusi che hanno sofferto a causa di Michael. Tuttavia,andando avanti nella lettura dell’articolo, si legge che nei “documenti segreti dell’FBI” sono elencati DICIASSETTE RAGAZZI….NON VENTIQUATTRO.
Questo è il titolo dell’articolo: Michael Jackson ha pagato 23 milioni di sterline per comprare il silenzio di almeno due dozzine di ragazzi dei quali ha abusato per oltre 15 anni.
Ora cito dall’articolo: “Nei documenti sono elencati i nomi di 17 ragazzi – tra cui cinque attori bambini e due ballerini- che Jacko aveva scelto per gli abusi”.
Anche dopo aver scritto che,secondo i “documenti segreti dell’FBI”, il numero dei ragazzi è 17, il giornalista subito dopo scrive ancora una volta che i ragazzi erano 24. Citazione: “ Sono elencati almeno due dozzine di bambini a cui sono stati dati soldi per stare zitti – circa 35 milioni di dollari ( 23 milioni di sterline)”.
Un tratto comune delle persone che mentono, tra cui giornalisti e reporter è, a volte, l’incapacità di portare avanti le bugie fino in fondo.
Il flop evidente tra i numeri può sembrare banale, ma quando viene collocato nel contesto come causa di bugie, credo sia degno di nota.
ERRORE N° 2: “i “documenti segreti dell’FBI”.
Il Sunday People" (N.d.r edizione domenicale del Mirror) ammette che sono riusciti a mettere le mani su questi presunti “documenti segreti dell’FBI”, perché l’investigatore privato a cui appartenevano prima che gli fossero presumibilmente confiscati dall'FBI, aveva fatto una fotocopia dei documenti prima del sequestro. Pertanto, le informazioni, i documenti, le registrazioni ecc che sono state visualizzate esclusivamente dai predetti soggetti erano le fotocopie dell'investigatore privato . Quelli del “The Sunday People” non hanno mai visto, quindi, nessun documento o file ufficiale proveniente dall’FBI. In altre parole, non possono nemmeno dimostrare che i documenti di cui sono in possesso siano mai stati sequestrati dall’FBI o se sono in possesso dell’FBI. Hanno solo la parola dell’investigatore privato che afferma che gli originali dei suddetti documenti e file sono in possesso dell’FBI.
Charles Thomson spiega anchequesto nel suo blog dal titolo "The Mirror, The People e la risoluzione economica che non c’è mai stata”.
Dal suo blog: “I“documenti dell’FBI” non sono documenti dell’FBI. Sono trascrizioni di interviste compilate da un giornalista di tabloid che aveva pagato le sue fonti– tra cui una che si è rivelata non esistere.”
Inoltre, i file dell’FBI su Michael Jackson sono stati rilasciati dopo la sua morte e non contengono nessun file, nastro audio o documento di cui parlano i tabloid al momento. Com’è stato anche acutamente sottolineato da Charles Thomson su un altro blog che coinvolge questa materia, i file dell'FBI dimostrano l'innocenza di Michael e chiariscono che l’unica con le "fantasie sordide" è in realtà la stampa scandalistica.
Nel momento in cui c’è ingiro un sacco di attenzione sulla vita di Michael e sui demoni che ha dovuto affrontare in vita, è evidente che “i potenti” vogliono che Michael sia visto nella luce peggiore possibile. Per demonizzarlo, i tabloid hanno ricominciato a usare la loro formula di colpire Michael nei suoi punti più vulnerabili… le sue presunte dipendenze da farmaci e, in questo caso, le accuse di molestie senza fine che stanno facendo riemergere.
ERRORE N°3: I “documenti segreti dell’FBI” non furono consegnati alla Procura per il processo del 2005.
Secondo l’articolo, furono sequestrati nel 2002 in seguito a un’indagine sull’investigatore privato responsabile del ritrovamento di tutte queste “prove schiaccianti”… Anthony Pellicano.
Nel 2004, Michael Jackson fu chiamato in giudizio per accuse di molestie su minore. Il processo si tenne nel 2005. Il pubblico ministero, durante il processo, richiese l’assistenza dell’FBI nelle indagini contro Michael. Se l’FBI aveva queste informazioni su presunti pagamenti o prove concrete per dimostrare la colpevolezza di Michael,era dovere dell’FBI fornire queste prove a Tom Sneddon. Se uno dovesse credere che l’FBI era in possesso di questi documenti che rivelano che Michael era colpevole di indecenze e abusi su minore, allora il fatto che l’FBI non li abbia consegnati all’ufficio del procuratore distrettuale significherebbe che l’FBI ha intralciato la giustizia.
Stranamente, nonostante l'affermazione del Mirror che queste prove non sono mai state fornite al procuratore distrettuale durante il processo per molestie di Michael, Phillip e Stella LeMarques, testimoniarono al processo del 2005. Il risultato? La credibilità della coppia crollò quando la loro testimonianza sbriciolò durante l’interrogatorio da parte dell’avvocato difensore di Michael, Tom Mesereau.
ERRORE N° 4: L’INTERROGATORIO AI LEMARQUES
Nel 1993, Phillip (ex maggiordomo di Michael) e sua moglie, Stella LeMarques furono interrogati dall’investigatoreprivato Anthony Pellicano. Durante l’interrogatorio, la coppia fornì dettagli sul presunto Modus Operandi di Michael e di come sceglieva i ragazzini per farli diventare suoi compagni di gioco sessuale. Seccondo Phillip e Stella, c’era un processo di “eliminazione” nel quale era coinvolta anche una delle collaboratrici di Michael che era addetta a raccogliere i bambini da portare da Michael a Neverland in modo che poi lui poteva scegliere“quello” che voleva. L’investigatore privato si riferisce a questo come al comportamento simile a quello di un magnaccia , poi Phillip e Stella descrivono le altre “fasi” di Michael (sfruttamento della prostituzione). I bambini venivano portati nel parco di divertimenti di Michael al Neverland Ranch, dopo di che, solo quelli che“interessavano” a Michael venivano invitati a ritornare.
Dall'interrogatorio come citato nell'articolo:
PELLICANO: Aspetta un minuto… Lei fa questo tipo di accordi con i genitori?
PHILLIP: Lei invita i genitori a portarli tutti … i genitori e i bambini al ranch, se poi, ad esempio, ci sono 5 bambini, Michael si prende quello che vuole.
PELLICANO: Stai dicendo che questa donna porta a Michael una selezione di bambini fra cui può scegliere? Come un magnaccia?
PHILIP: sì.
Una volta che Michael sceglieva la sua preda, cominciavano le visioni di film porno notturni, la masturbazione,le toccatine … naturalmente, presumibilmente.
Questa coppia afferma anche che, all’interno del cinema di Neverland, c’erano due stanze segrete dove Michael trascorreva il tempo con i bambini a guardare film porno. La più assurda delle dichiarazioni fatte in relazione al cinema è quella in cui Michael masturbava la sua vittima e lo baciava appassionatamente mentre la madre del bambino era sedute 2 o 3 file davanti a loro. Commettere tali atti osceni su un bambino, quando il genitore potrebbe girarsi da un momento all’altro e sorprendere Michael nell'atto avrebbe sicuramente fatto catturare Michael il più presto possibile.
Se i tabloid si fossero presi del tempo per fare qualche ricerca sui LeMarques avrebbero scoperto quanto segue in merito al loro interrogatorio.
1) I LeMarques non hanno mai riferito degli atti osceni in cui dicevano che era coinvolto Michael con i bambini alle autorità competenti.
2) “Hanno invece venduto le loro storie ai tabloid e le autorità scoprirono che la coppia di volta in volta aggiungeva sempre più dettagli grafici al fine di ottenere sempre più soldi.
3) A conclusione delle loro indagini nel 1993, le autorità affermarono che i LeMarques non sono credibili e non sono in possesso di nessuna prova sostanziale per dimostrare le accuse mosse contro Michael.
4) TMZ è riuscita a far ammettere alla coppia che aveva lavorato per Michael per qualche mese ancora dopo un incidente che era successo con Michael e Macauly Caulkin.
ERRORE N°5: ACCORDI DI RISERVATEZZA E ORDINI DI BAVAGLIO.
L’investigatore dice che tutte le vittime che sono state pagate sono rimaste in silenzio a causa di un ordine di bavaglio e della firma di un accordo di riservatezza e questo è assolutamente ridicolo. Non si può essere costretti da un contratto a rimanere in silenzio quando ci sono di mezzo attività illegali. Anche se i ragazzi e le loro famiglie fossero stati pagati per il loro silenzio, avrebbero potuto prendere i soldi di Michael e poi andare alle autorità competenti in qualsiasi momento per chiedere giustizia per i crimini commessi contro di loro.
Questo fatto è stato spesso trascurato nel caso di Jordan Chandler. Anche dopo la risoluzione economica, i genitori di Jordan avrebbero ancora potuto agire per vie legali contro il presunto predatore del figlio ma non lo fecero perché lo stesso Jordan si rifiutò di testimoniare contro Michael. L’idea che Jordan si rifiutò di testimoniare per evitare l’umiliazione che il mondo sapesse che era stato abusato sessualmente da Michael manca completamente di buon senso e di logica. Il mondo era già a conoscenza della sua denuncia per molestie sessuali.
ERRORE N°6: LA TEMPISTICA
L'investigatore che rompe il silenzio di Pellicano sostiene che sono state le accuse mosse da Wade Robson ad averlo spinto a portare la 'verità' in superficie.
Ok, ma, esattamente per lui,che senso ha avuto per lui aspettare tutto questo tempo per divulgare una“verità” così brutta? A vantaggio di chi va tutto questo? Non ho dubbio che Wade c’entri in qualche modo, ma non perché vuole aiutarlo a diffondere la “vera verità”.
Il momento giusto per portare tutto questo alla luce sarebbe stato il 1993 o il 2005. In quel momento“la verità” rivelata si sarebbe potuta rivelare utile. Si potevano aiutare le vittime rimaste nell’ombra e si sarebbe potuto evitare che altri bambini diventassero vittime.
“ Se questi documenti fossero stati rilasciati allora, la carriera di Jackson sarebbe finita, ma lui era il Re del Pop ed è valsa la pena lasciarlo sul suo trono pagando quello che è l’equivalente di un anno di royalties. Con l’aiuto di persone come Pellicano,il mondo e i suoi fans non hanno mai saputo niente di quello che avveniva a Neverland per 15 anni.”
Come potete vedere nella citazione dell’articolo sopra, l’investigatore privato ammette che se questi dettagli fossero venuti alla luce negli anni 90, la carriera di Michael sarebbe finita. Quello era il momento in cui queste notizie avrebbero potuto avere il massimo impatto.
Invece, ci si deve chiedere... per quale motivo queste notizie sono uscite adesso? Questa storia è uscitalo stesso giorno della premiere di MJ One a Las Vegas il 29 giugno 2013.
Trovo difficile chiamare questa una coincidenza.
Speculazione pura, come se queste storie siano state messe lì da persone che favoreggiano Wade Robson nelle sue rivendicazioni contro l’Estate, come se in qualche modo volessero spingere il giudice ad accogliere la domanda di Wade ad andare avanti nonostante le sue pretese arrivino dopo i termini di prescrizione.
Michael diceva bene: Tutto per i soldi.
