According to TMZ, the Thriller star's former business associated tied the knot away back in 1992.
And while the pair separated a mere eight months later, their marriage was never officially dissolved.
Marc has finally got round to filing divorce papers, which he submitted last week, citing 'irreconcilable differences.'
And it looks like 55-year-old Debbie will have to wait for her latest nuptials, as it usually takes six months for a divorce to become final.
Not Bad: Debbie was given an $8-million settlement as well as a house in Beverly Hills when she divorced the Prince Of Pop in 1999
Rowe met the Dangerous star while working as a nurse in Dr. Arnold Klein's dermatology office.
The pair married in 1996 and went on to have two children together, Prince, 17, and 16-year-old Paris.
When they got divorced in 1999 she gave full custody rights of the children to the Prince Of Pop, and received an $8-million settlement, as well as a house in Beverly Hills.

Michael Jackson's ex-wife is set to marry Jackson's former close friend and business associate ... but turns out there's a small problem -- he's already married.
Marc Schaffel is engaged to Rowe though a date for the wedding has not been set. Turns out ... Shaffel married model Kerstin Christa Nissen in 1992. According to legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- they separated 8 months later but never got divorced.
Shaffel got around to filing papers last week, citing irreconcilable differences.
It generally takes 6 months for the divorce to become final, so Rowe will just have to cool her jets.
