In order to get close enough to the microphone when recording songs, the child Michael stood atop an apple box. From this elevated position, he conveyed a supernaturally precocious ability for perfectly expressing the joy of romantic love.
The paradox of Michael’s back-catalogue is that the themes present in his childhood material (having been written by adults) were mature beyond his years, whilst the ideas he explored in his self-penned adult work were more akin to those that would inspire a child.
The silent pilot light of achieving one’s aspirations flickers persistently throughout an entire lifetime, despite the cynicism of society relentlessly attempting to extinguish the flame. This self-sabotaging phenomenon is fuelled by a ubiquitous misbelief amongst the embittered of their having missed their own opportunities to fulfil their dreams. This byproduct of envy is not the fault of those afflicted, however: more a logical consequence of the inherent difficulty in leaping over the ego and reacquainting themselves with the indomitable optimism embodied by their inner child.
Fortunate people are blessed with having had faith instilled with themselves. This fortune is derived from the quality of being elucidated recipients of unconditional love and support. The peerless strength that comes with possessing an innate knowledge of being loved is what imbues the requisite confidence and courage vital for remaining stoic when actively advocating the validity of one’s intuited belief system, regardless of the bombardment of a sneering society.
Due to its presence on a posthumous poster, there is one quote from Michael that has become particularly prominent:
“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.”
This common-sense philosophy formed the crux of the theme of his speech at the 2001 Oxford Address, which Michael gave to promote his Heal The Kids initiative:
“Friends, the foundation of all human knowledge, the beginning of human consciousness must be that each and every one of us is an object of love… before you know if you have red hair or brown… before you know if you are black or white… before you know what religion you are a part of… you have to know that you are loved.”
Michael divulged that hide-and-seek was one of his favourite games to play. He references it in his poem, Are You Listening?
“In infinite expressions I come and go / Playing hide-and-seek / In the twinkling of an eye / But immortality’s my game.”
This mention of immortality is an important one. The fuel for Michael’s success was a steadfast faith in its resultant fame enabling him to influence society’s perspective on the role of children in humanity’s spiritual progression. Michael’s unwavering message was that each and every baby born is a clean slate; a chance for humanity to achieve charitable greatness. In spite of the surfeit of record-smashing, culture-shaping career accolades Michael acquired, his only wish was to be remembered as an advocate for the children of the world. In the very month of his death, he said,
“That’s what I’ll be remembered for – not for what I did on stage, but for what I did for the children.”
And in the same way Michael strived to defend the rights of children and promulgate the idea of the global resourcing of their innate genius, he felt that children were there to redeem him also,
“I want to be buried right where there are children. I want them next to me. I would feel safer that way. I want them next to me. I need their spirit protecting me.”
The author F. Scott Fitzgerald famously wrote, “Show me a hero and I will write you a tragedy.” Michael is this musing made manifest.
As a child, Michael could merely imagine what romantic love was like, yet he managed to relay its emotions with visceral conviction. His song With A Child’s Heart is advice on attempting to assuage the tumultuousness of life by approaching each day with the carefree attitude of a child. Contrasted with his other childhood songs in which he effortlessly expresses the euphoria of adult love, the song With A Child’s Heart anomalously drips with the palpable pain of his awareness of the tragic irony contained in the words he is singing.
People query Michael’s choice to spend his time in the company of children, without ever questioning the reason why millions of people sought to seek his presence when he was a child. As well as whilst he remained childlike as an adult. Michael saw more individual human beings than anyone else that has ever existed. Because they flocked in their hundreds of millions to go and see him.
The pilot light of aspiration persists until a person’s dying day. During a lifetime, there are intermittent instances of inhaling breaths of inspiration that when exhaled potentiate the luminescence of the flame. As an enlightened entity of being loved, a person is accordingly bestowed with the self-belief that is required for the courage to follow the flame.
We have arrived at such an instance. As Michael’s fans, every single one of us is loved unconditionally (let’s call it an occupational perk). Ergo, our collective inhalation of inspired breath, upon being exhaled, carries the necessary potency to combust Michael’s pilot light dream of a universally recognised reverence for childhood, into an incendiary and revolutionary reality.
During the Oxford Address, Michael noted that there are days dedicated to the celebration of mothers and fathers – yet none to honour their children. I cannot think of a more apt or poignant tribute to Michael’s legacy than for his fans to petition for and achieve the official establishment of August 29th as International Children’s Day.

Paris Jackson's family is furious over reports the 16-year-old is pregnant and engaged, calling them "ridiculous and rude," EnStarz reported. Sources said Jackson's alleged baby bump is the result of a bad photo angle and not because she's expecting a baby.
"We can say with 99 percent accuracy that Paris Jackson is not pregnant," said insiders. "The 'proof' is through a bad photo and unreliable witnesses originating from a low-level tabloid."
The pregnancy rumors got started after Paris was spotted at a Los Angeles restaurant with her boyfriend two weeks ago sporting what sources claimed was a baby bump. Adding to the speculation was Jackson's alleged insistence on making a celebratory toast with water instead of wine.
But insiders slammed the pregnancy reports, saying Jackson, who is still in rehab after her recent suicide attempt, does not want the added burdens of teen motherhood. At 16, Paris is under the legal age to drink in the United States, so not drinking does not automatically mean she's pregnant.

Meanwhile, sources close to the Jackson family said Paris is still recovering from her drug overdose suicide attempt. Paris, who lives with her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, was hospitalized in June 2013 after she tried to kill herself by taking a bottle of painkillers and cutting her wrists with a meat cleaver at her home.
Paris had left a suicide note and called a suicide hotline shortly after downing a handful of pills, TMZ reported. Sources said the day before her suicide attempt, Paris was upset because her grandmother wouldn't allow her to go to a Marilyn Manson concert. Others said she was extremely depressed over the four-year anniversary of her father's death and the pressure to testify at his high-profile wrongful-death lawsuit.
Jackson, who had initially tried to move out of her grandmother's house, is now reportedly getting along with her. "Paris has no issues with Katherine, and is getting along quite well with her," said an insider. "As for [her brothers] Prince and Blanket, there is no truth to claims she is estranged from them either."
Michael Jackson died in June 2009 at age 50. The cause of death was cardiac arrest due to the ingestion of massive amounts of sedatives, including the potent anesthetic Propofol. After his death, reports emerged that Michael's physicians knowingly administered powerful sedatives even though he was on the brink of a drug overdose.
In 2011, Jackson's personal physician, cardiologist Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for giving the pop icon a lethal dose of the anesthetic Propofol. Murray was sentenced to four years in jail but was released for good behavior after serving just two years. His conviction was upheld in January 2014.

A giugno Rockol riportava la notizia di una battaglia legale, a colpi di querele e controquerele, tra Pulse Evolution e Hologram USA, due aziende concorrenti specializzate nella realizzazione di ologrammi: la prima aveva prodotto quello utilizzato per la performance virtuale di Michael Jackson ai Billboard Music Awards del 18 maggio; la seconda - che aveva in qualche modo aperto la strada alle esibizioni virtuali di artisti defunti fabbricando l'ologramma di Tupac Shakur - sosteneva di detenere una sorta di brevetto esclusivo sull'idea e sulla tecnologia. La vicenda è tutt'altro che risolta, ma intanto Alki David, facoltoso proprietario della Hologram, ha incassato una prima vittoria parziale in California dove un tribunale ha respinto il reclamo della ditta concorrente che lo accusa di avere diffuso tramite un'intervista televisiva alla CNN informazioni false sulla paternità dell'ologramma jacksoniano, attribuendogli l'onere di specificare in cosa consisterebbe il suo millantato credito.
Il tribunale ha infatti verificato che durante l'intervista Davis non ha mai sostenuto di essere stato lui a creare l'immagine virtuale della pop star, limitandosi a spiegare metodi e tecnologie utilizzate nell'occasione e a riflettere sui loro possibili usi futuri. Cosicché, scrive nella sua sentenza, "la maggior parte delle dichiarazioni ovviamente false e ingannevoli sono state fatte dalla CNN (o dal suo intervistatore) e non dai convenuti in giudizio". Non ci sarebbero dunque prove sufficienti a stabilire che Davis fosse a conoscenza delle affermazioni dell'intervistatore o del titolo del servizio prima che questo venisse montato e messo in onda dal network televisivo. Dove Davis potrebbe avere commesso un errore tattico, rileva però Wilson, è stato nel rimettere in circolazione il filmato attraverso i suoi siti Web e il suo account Twitter, così avallando - in sostanza - quanto sostenuto dall'intervistatore e contestato da Pulse Entertainment. Toccherà comunque a quest'ultima, se vorrà portare avanti la richiesta di risarcimento danni da 10 milioni di dollari, dimostrare quando e in che modo l'intervista concessa alla CNN sia stata "ripostata" dal concorrente.

IL DUETTO FRA I DUE GIGANTI DELLA MUSICA
Prendi due giganti della musica come Freddie Mercury e Michael Jackson e mettili a fare un duetto insieme. Il risultato di questa pazzesca collaborazione è contenuto nell’album “Queen Forever“, la nuova raccolta della mitica band inglese che include il singolo “There Must Be More To Life Than This “, brano in cui i due miti del rock e del pop cantano insieme.
“Queen Forever” uscirà l’11 novembre e, inutile dirlo, l’attesa è febbrile. Soprattutto considerando l’amore che i fan di Freddie e di Jacko non hanno mai smesso di provare per i propri idoli.
“There Must Be More To Life Than This ” ha una storia piuttosto travagliata. Il brano è stato scritto e registrato dal leader dei Queen durante le sessioni di “Hot Space“, ma venne escluso dalla tracklist. Successivamente Freddie lo incise di nuovo aggiungendo delle parti vocali registrate a Los Angeles insieme a Michael Jackson. L’idea era quella di inserire la traccia in “The Works“, ma di nuovo non se ne fece nulla. Così questa versione di ”There Must Be More To Life Than This ” è rimasta inedita per ben 33 anni. E adesso, finalmente, la possiamo ascoltare.
La versione cantata solo da Freddie Mercury, invece, è satta pubblicata nel 1985 nel primo album solista del cantante, “Mr Bad Guy“.
“Queen Forever“ verrà pubblicato in due versioni: una di 20 tracce e l’altra composta da due cd con 36 brani. Ci saranno anche altri due brani inediti di Freddie: “Let me in your heart again” e “Love Kills“. Insomma, una chicca davvero da non perdere per i fan sfegatati della band ma anche per chi vuole conoscere meglio la storia musicale di uno dei gruppi che hanno segnato la storia del rock.

Winning bidders will snap up a wide array of treasures, including Janet Jackson’s bras, master recordings of Jackson 5 music that were never released, business and court files, and toys owned by Michael Jackson or his siblings — both the child and adult kind.

When it comes to Jackson family memorabilia, nothing is too obscure, odd or even disgusting for the auction block.
La Toya’s old sex toys will soon be up for grabs.
So, too, will be a black tuxedo that was worn not by the King of Pop but by his pet chimpanzee Bubbles.
Thanks to a bankruptcy court proceeding involving a major collector, a trove of Jackson family possessions — ranging from the absurd to the awesome — is going to be sold off online.
“Some of the items are ordinary items that could come out of any household — but when it has the provenance of being from the Jackson household, that’s history,” said Peter Siegel of Gotta Have It! Collectibles, the auction house that will be handling the sale.
All varieties of collectors and Jackson fans will find something to their liking.
Even the creepy collector will be excited — an assortment of Janet Jackson’s bras is part of the cornucopia.
There is the truly rare: 56 master recordings of the Jackson 5. The reel-to-reel tapes contain versions of never-released songs, including the group covering the Donny and Marie Osmond hit “A Little Bit Country.”
Siegel cautioned that while the tapes are the treasure of the auction, they won’t be sold with copyrights to publish the songs.
There are photo albums.
And there is the delightfully obscure: court documents from a 1987 restraining order Michael Jackson sought against a woman claiming to be the Billie Jean from his 1983 hit song of the same name.
The online auction runs through Sept. 19 at the auction house’s site GottaHaveIt.com. Most bids start at $100, with the exception of the master tapes, which start at $1,000.
The Midtown auction house was picked by the federal bankruptcy court in New Jersey to auction off the property.
The possessions belonged to Vintage Associates, an Asbury Park, N.J., company that filed for bankruptcy last year. Vintage obtained the property from one of its creditors, Henry Vaccaro, a major collector of Michael Jackson memorabilia, according to court records.
Siegel said the property has been sitting in a storage locker for decades.
Some of the goods are being sold as grab bags — 24-by-36-inch boxes containing hundreds of “mystery holdings,” Siegel said.
“This is a great way for the general public to own a piece of Jackson family history for as little as $100,” Siegel said.
Other effects will be hawked as individual lots.
There are documents aplenty — filing cabinets jammed with family patriarch Joe Jackson’s business documents.
Also up for bid are Michael’s Peter Pan collection, his personal stereo and a box of his childhood toys — including a troll doll with yellow hair.
Most of the trappings look like they belong in a stoop sale, like miscellaneous clothes once worn by members of the Jackson 5 during performances, costume jewelry, shoes, belts and exercise equipment.

The unprecedented demand for tickets to see This Is It meant – had Michael Jackson been physically capable of following orders – that he would have eventually played to one million people.
Upon the seismic shock of Michael’s demise, the resultant grief expressed by the planet at such an irreplaceable loss for humanity became manifest in myriad ways. Conspiracy theories abound: had Michael known he was going to die when he did? When he had whooped the This Is It press-conference crowd into frenzied delirium with the chant, “This is it! This is it!” – had he literally meant this - this moment – is it? Conspiracy theories ranged from the ridiculous to the sublime: had Michael been targeted by secret NASA technology possessing the capacity to identify and exterminate any specific target on the globe – their motive being that, during the This Is It run of shows, they had reason to believe he was going to expose the insidious Illuminati elite?
Then there were those that point-blank refused to accept he had died. A theory spawning a faction of fans who persevere in referring to themselves as ‘BeLIEvers’: a small group of seemingly sorry souls (I realise this could ostensibly be interpreted as an insensitive stance, but – from the BeLIEvers I’ve had the misfortune to encounter, at least – they promote their agenda for reasons much less fuelled by the denial synonymous with grief, and much more by necromaniacal voyeurism).
BeLIEvers are inordinately proud of themselves for having noticed that, in the English language – on occasion – shorter words sometimes exist within longer ones (although the rudimentary rules of any language discourage those words ever being capitalised). This apparently startling syntactic revelation is the bedrock of the BeLIEver belief system: a system that actively promulgates the idea of Michael being alive – with him merely residing on the sidelines of civilisation, in the guise of various individuals that range from tragic burns victim and famous recipient of Michael’s philanthropic aid, Dave Dave, to the very man convicted of killing Michael himself: Conrad Murray.
BeLIEvers claim that the picture taken of Paris prior to her suicide attempt – in which she is sporting self-harm scars on her arm – was photoshopped, and that she is both aware of and complicit in perpetuating the hoax. Or – contradictorily – that her attempt to take her own life was a ruse to draw Michael from hiding – and that Michael is simply refusing to intervene in the agonised grief of his children. That – for all his sincere concern with regards the welfare of other people’s children – it’s impossible for him to emerge from exile in order to console his own.
Because his very own children’s sanity must be duly sacrificed in lieu of the accomplishment of the bigger plan – a plan which essentially boils down to the most distasteful magic trick in history: the climax to which, would be Michael’s immediate arrest and incarceration – as a consequence of the somewhat misjudged venture being responsible for what would then have been an innocent Conrad Murray spending time in jail.
The acquiescence involved that allows oneself to hold such beliefs is not a symptom of grief; it is a symptom of purposeful self-perversion. And supporting such sentiments as these strikes at the very core of Michael’s lived and hard-earned philosophy: “I’ll be remembered for – not for what I did on stage – but for what I did for the children.”
Fans of Elvis Presley that continued to insist on his persistent hip-thrusting upon this mortal coil, became a global laughing-stock (although their wordplay of ELVIS being an anagram of LIVES is actually far more credible – if only for the reason of it not having been randomly plucked from the ether as the term ‘beLIEver’ evidently was). However, the importance of their idol’s legacy – compared to ours – pales in significance. Quite apart from the fact that Elvis fans didn’t have to constantly contend with defending their idol against incessant accusations of paedophilia.
What with Michael’s fans being all-too-often dismissed as deranged due to the actions of a loud, lunatic minority, Michael’s vitally important message of kindness and brotherly love – particularly in the current global political climate – ends up becoming massively undermined. The lunacy plays directly into the hands of those wishing to smear his legacy. The BeLIEver movement represent a part of the integrity of Michael’s art and soul that we must reclaim.
Cadeflaw/AdLlaw is a highly respectable initiative that needs your support. The ultimate goal of this determined group is to change a law that currently permits the defaming of the deceased (a proposed change that would also help preserve the sanity of their survivors). “È un simbolo di ciò che stiamo cercando di dire attraverso la nostra musica, sintetizzato dal fatto che il pavone è l'unico uccello che combina in sé tutti i colori. Può produrre questo sfolgorio di fuoco solo quando è in amore ed è quello che stiamo cercando di rappresentare attraverso la nostra musica. riunire tutte le razze attraverso l'amore. La politica non può salvare il mondo, perciò chi fa musica dovrebbe almeno provarci. Le persone si uniscono attraverso la musica. Con la nostra musica, cerchiamo di trasmettere il sentimento d'amore, e quindi lo raccontiamo attraverso il pavone".
"[...] La risposta è stata incredibile in tutto il mondo. Molti non l’hanno visto sulla retrocopertina di “Destiny”. Alcuni recepiscono il messaggio, altri no. Ma una volta che lo colgono, pensano tutti che sia bello. Dare un significato alle cose è importante per me ed è uno dei motivi principali per cui faccio quello che faccio. Se non potessi portare quella felicità alle persone di tutto il mondo attraverso la mia musica, non farei questo lavoro. NON POTREI MAI FARE DISCHI SEMPLICEMENTE PERCHE’ LE PERSONE LI COMPRINO E RICAVARNE RICCHEZZA. Per me non c’è alcun bene in questo, deve esserci qualcosa di più. Sul messaggio influente della musica folk:
"[...] Io stesso amo la musica folk perché racconta delle difficoltà che la gente deve realmente affrontare. Le canzoni folk sono in grado di sollevare gli spiriti delle persone e spesso hanno un grande messaggio, come il pavone per noi. Il messaggio fa sentire le persone come vere, reali, e che dovrebbero lottare per i loro diritti e non mollare".
"Ecco perché adoro così tanto Paul Robeson, perché tutte le sue canzoni folk dicono qualcosa. Canzoni come" This Little Light Of Mine ". [...] Vorrei solo che più persone avessero tratto insegnamenti da lui".
Sui bambini:
"Sono sempre stato totalmente pazzo per i bambini, penso siano più che solo bambini, sono tutti piccoli geni e hanno un segreto tutto loro. Un segreto che non sempre riescono ad esprimere [...] Ho studiato psicologia infantile visto il mio amore per i bambini, di tutto il mondo [...] Se non piaci a un bambino, lui te lo dirà. Sulla tolleranza verso le altre nazioni e culture:

On the symbolism of the Peacock to his music and the Jacksons’ "Destiny" album:
"It’s a symbol of what we are trying to say through our music and it is summoned up by the fact that the peacock is the only bird that integrates all of the colors into one. It can only produce this radiance of fire when it is in love. And that is what we are trying to represent through our music. To bring all races together through love. Politics can’t save the world, so the music people should at least try. People are brought together through music. With our music, we try to get across the feeling of love, and, so, we relate it through the peacock."
"[…] The response around the world has been incredible. A lot of people didn’t see it on the back cover of 'Destiny'. […] Some get the message, some don’t.
