She's been spending quality time with her grandmother since her reported suicide attempt last summer.
And now it seems family time has been a great healer since Paris Jackson was seen getting back to normal life as she supported brother Blanket at a karate class in Calabasas on Saturday.
The 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, who has been lying low at grandmother Katherine Jackson's home in California, picked her brother up after his session before heading off to Topanga Mall for some retail therapy.
Paris looked the picture of happiness in a jean shirt and jeans and furry black Ugg-syle boots as she pent time with her cousin TJ's children.
Her image is a far cry to the one she sported in June when she was hospitalised following a reported suicide attempt.
The family had planned New Year's Eve bash in Malibu but it is not known if the teen was able to attend.
She did post an Instagram wishing everyone a happy New Year.

Paris initially received treatment in Los Angeles, but recently had been living in Utah at a private boarding school.
E! News reported that sources said she was released from the specialty boarding school for the Christmas break to join her family - including brothers Prince and Blanket - on vacation in Hawaii.
An Instagram photo posted by the late Michael Jackson's daughter revealed that her biological mother Debbie Rowe also joined the family trip.
In a photo simply captioned 'Momma : )', Paris is shown smiling sweetly as she sits close to Debbie Rowe, who also appears to be calm and happy.
Paris, who has short auburn hair in the photo and is wearing a black and white striped top, is spending a lot of time with her formerly estranged mother according to Radar Online, which reported: 'The two have spent significant time together during Paris’ break from school.'
Paris has been a resident of a $14,000 per month therapeutic private school in Utah following her reported June suicide attempt.
The academy is a secluded center for teenagers that specialises in depression and grief management like Paris who has been struggling since her father's death in 2009.
In June she wrote on her twitter: 'Why are tears salty?'
At the beginning of January, the teen marked her return on Instagram saying: 'I'm back b***hessss'.
However, according to E! the stay was brief as her family feared she wouldnlt return to the school for troubled teens.
'The family doesn't want Paris to spend her entire winter break at home because they don't want her getting comfortable,' the report said.
'The family thinks Paris will try to talk her way into staying home after showing the family she's gotten better.'

Dopo i problemi della scorsa estate, con relativo tentato suicidio e un lungo periodo in cura, sabato è stata riavvistata in giro la deliziosa figlia di Michael Jackson.
E Paris Jackson (15) era in compagnia del fratellino Blanket, e del cugino TJ e famiglia in uno centro commerciale nei paraggi di Los Angeles, dove sta vivendo con la nonna Katherine Jackson.
Sembra essere tornata alla normalità la bella figlia del ‘re del pop’ e grazie anche alle cure e affetto della famiglia e la frequentazione di un’altra scuola, privata e nello Utah dal costo di $14,000 al mese per teenagers con problemi di depressione.
Felici di rivederla in giro e con i suoi begli occhi azzurri e speriamo abbia superato quel periodo nero che l’aveva portata a compiere il gesto insensato, derivante sicuramente dalla morte del padre!
