According to the Michael Jackson Estate, Michael Jackson’s image and likeness, that of the most famous man in the world and most successful entertainer to have ever lived, is worth $2,105. No, I haven’t missed out five zeros on that figure, that is the number Branca and McClain thought they could get away with presenting to the IRS in an effort to dodge paying tax.
I spent more than that on my Michael Jackson memorabilia collection.
A collection which doesn’t and never will include the Michael album, which, of course, was further rubbished (as if it really needed it) this week by Teddy Riley finally coming clean and admitting his being set-up in the process of making said album (from day one, the Jackson family have always maintained the obvious – that it is not Michael singing on the Cascio tracks – to the extent that Teddy Riley’s daughter was sacked from working on Janet Jackson’s tour at the time).
The massive undervaluation Branca and McClain put on Michael’s image and likeness (which has contributed to a $700,000,000 bill in tax penalties) is typically indicative of their perpetual undermining of Michael’s life-work in an effort to milk the most profit; as epitomised by their use of an imposter to attempt to deceive fans. As for those who put the blame for the deceit at the feet of Sony, let’s not forget that McClain was himself a producer on the album. Remember, Branca and McClain are far from inept. They are highly successful, highly experienced, highly devious human beings. Highly adept at screwing the optimum amount of money out of a project, and all-too willing to ignore integrity long the way. And, interestingly enough, this $700,000,000 tax bill the Estate have run up would instantly wipe out any financial award granted to the Jackson family following a successful ruling for them in the AEG case.
We must challenge all of the Estate’s decisions. Apostles of Capitalism, of which Branca and McClain are irrefutably two, adopt the poignant messages of our heroes and twist them into throwaway slogans with which to sell their wares. With CGI, it is all too easy to insert a long-dead icon into an advert. It’s a technique that is becoming increasingly ubiquitous. How long before we see an advert for plastic surgery with a computer-generated Michael telling us to, “Make that change”?!
Today saw the leak of Michael’s demo for the song I Am A Loser. It’s a stripped-back, pretty-but-plaintive cry of despair about the self-sabotaging of a relationship.
Something the Estate appear hell-bent on doing between themselves and the fans.

Ricordate, Branca e McClain sono tutt'altro che degli incapaci. Sono persone di gran successo di grande esperienza, degli essere umani molto subdoli. Sono molto abili ad ingegnarsi nel trovare ogni modo possibile per ricavare il massimo profitto da ogni progetto, e fin troppo disposti a ignorare la loro integrità nel durante. E' abbastanza interessante notare, che con questa imposta da 700 milioni di dollari da pagare, l'Estate potrebbe annullare ogni assegnazione finanziaria concessa alla famiglia Jackson in seguito ad un eventuale successo nel caso contro AEG.(n.d.r Syl sostiene che essendo l'Estate impegnata a pagare un tot alla famiglia, a seguito del debito fiscale e della probabile vincita della causa, possa, L'Estate,chiedere l'annullamento dell'introito che paga nei confronti della famiglia, madre e figli di MJ)
Dobbiamo sfidare tutte le decisioni dell'Estate. Gli Apostoli del capitalismo, di cui Branca e McClain sono inconfutabilmente due adepti , utilizzano i messaggi dei nostri eroi, per ritrocerceli contro con degli slogan attraverso i quali vendere i loro prodotti. Attraverso CGI(n.d.r. Computer generated imagery immagini generate al computer) è fin troppo facile far apparire un icona morta in uno slogan(una pubblicità). Ed è una tecnica che sta diventando sempre più onnipresente. Quanto tempo passerà prima di vedere uno slogan sulla chirurgia plastica con un Michael Jackson rigenerato al computer che dice "Make that change"?!(Fai questo cambiamento)
Oggi ho sentito la trapelata canzone I Am A Loser. E' un grido grazioso-ma-lamentoso di disperazione che riguarda l'auto-sabotaggio in una relazione.
Qualcosa che l'Estate sembra decisa a fare con se stessa e i fans.
