A bent spoon given by Michael Jackson to Uri Geller is up for auction later.

The late singer gave the spoon when he acted as best man at mystic Geller's ceremony to renew his wedding vows at his home in Sonning, Berkshire.

The item is one of many celebrities living in Berkshire and Oxfordshire have donated to a charity auction in aid of Windsor's Thames Hospicecare.

The auction of about 70 items at The Flowing Spring pub in Playhatch, Oxfordshire, takes place at 19:00 BST

On the spoon Geller, who rose to fame by bending spoons on TV, has written: "7 March 2001 M.J. gave me this spoon. Uri Geller".

It comes with a photo of them both and was personally donated by the Sonning spoon-bending mystic.

Landlord and landlady Nick Willson and Hazel Lucas said they were "astounded" by the generosity of local celebrities and customers.

Singer Kate Bush, a former West Berkshire resident, donated an original canvas print called Never Be Mine, using the "Fish People" logo she now uses.

Deep Purple drummer Ian Paicem who lives in Shiplake, has donated a drum skin signed by the band on their current world tour.

And with the Duchess of Cambridge having grown up in the Berkshire village of Bucklebury, the auction includes a framed, authenticated piece of red carpet from the royal wedding.

"We wanted to aim big with our auction," said Mr Willson, "but this really is impressive and we hope these extraordinary items attract high bids for such a worthwhile cause".
