Paris Jackson heading for additional treatment?
King of Pop Michael Jackson's teenage daughter Paris will reportedly be headed to a longer-term treatment center out of state after her stint in a psychiatric facility at UCLA Medical Center here.
Paris, 15, has a recent history of mental health issues that include attempting to suicide and harming herself with a knife, reported People magazine.
"Paris will be staying at least another week, and then she'll be going to a facility for additional care," a source said.
The move comes after much discussion within the Jackson family about how best to care for Paris. The decision is said to have made by Katherine and Paris's biological mother Debbie Rowe in consultation with doctor.

Paris Jackson will be in treatment for months, for a dark depression that is putting her life in serious jeopardy ... TMZ has learned.
We're told Paris' family is scoffing at law enforcement claims that her "suicide attempt" earlier this month was merely a cry for help. We're told when the bandages on her arm were removed, the damage was "horrifying." As one source put it, "Paris absolutely tried to kill herself, and it wasn't the first time."
Our sources say Paris is deep into the world of cutting. We've seen Paris' Tumblr page, and it's filled with pics of death, suicide and cutting. Several pics show teenagers putting guns in their mouths. As for cutting, the pics are graphic and very bloody. In one pic you see a girl with scissors cutting her arm with a caption, "I f**king hate myself."
Another pic shows an arm with writing over the cutting area that reads, "Suicide slice here."
In one posting, there's a piece of paper with the following type: "Why did you try to kill yourself?" The answer: "You told me to be happy."
And there are other photos of young girls who have just cut themselves and blood is everywhere.
And it looks like Paris reached out from time to time to get help, because there are several postings which have anti-cutting messages.
Family sources tell TMZ ... Paris is "doing better" at UCLA Medical Center but still in denial and is fighting therapy. Although she has no desire now to cut herself again, we're told professionals are warning the family they need to figure out the triggers that plunge her into darkness.
Sources tell us ... Paris will move from UCLA to another treatment center, and she could be there for 3 months.

Judge taking no action in Jackson guardianship
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge said Tuesday he will make no changes to the guardianship of Michael Jackson's children after receiving an investigator's report on their well-being and meeting with attorneys for their caretakers.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff ordered the inquiry after Paris Jackson was hospitalized on June 5 for taking Motrin pills and cutting her arm with a kitchen knife.
Beckloff ordered an investigator to interview Jackson's children, including Prince and Blanket, and report back to him.
Beckloff said he also met with attorneys for the children's grandmother Katherine Jackson and their adult cousin TJ Jackson, who serve as guardians.
"I'm taking no further action," Beckloff told attorneys for the Jackson estate during a hearing on an unrelated matter.
Perry Sanders Jr., an attorney for Katherine Jackson, has said Paris Jackson is physically fine and receiving proper medical attention. He has not provided further updates on her condition.

Paris Jackson has been recuperating from a suicide attempt earlier this month. While we have stories about what exactly happened we don’t know for sure, although we’re getting another piece. Facebook may have had something to do with it, specifically, cyber bullying. From TMZ:
Sources closely connected to Paris tell TMZ … the 15-year-old has been reeling from comments left on her Facebook page — many about Michael Jackson and his lifestyle. Some of the comments involve the various molestation allegations … others involve the odd life Paris lived while Michael was alive.
We’re told Paris has taken the comments very personally … and one source says, “They destroyed her.” The source adds, there’s a nexus between the bullying and her penchant for cutting.
Now here’s the problem. Paris does not have access to her Facebook page while she’s in the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center. But her family is deeply concerned that she’ll backslide if she goes back on Facebook when she gets out.
The family is extremely frustrated, because they’ve tried to shut down Paris’ Facebook page, but they can’t — Facebook’s policy is that the family of a user has no right to shut down an account if the user is 13 years of age or older.
I guess her Facebook settings weren’t set to just trusted friends and family. It’s impossible of course to filter out everything on Facebook that you don’t want.

Washington, July 1: Michael Jackson's former wife Debbie Rowe has claimed in her Twitter post that their daughter Paris Jackson, who is currently recovering from a suicide attempt, is "strong like her father".
Rowe had chosen to remain mum over her teenage daughter's self-harm issue, but took to the social networking site on Saturday to thank fans for all their support, Us magazine reported.
She wrote that her daughter had asked her to extend a huge thank you to their followers for all of their thoughts, prayers and support.

Paris Jackson: REJECTED By Rehab Facility
Paris Jackson can't get a break ... her request to be transferred from UCLA Medical Center to a top out-of-state facility has been REJECTED, because the rehab place fears an onslaught of paparazzi.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... UCLA docs will NOT let Paris return home, because they believe she is still a serious danger to herself -- they believe unless she gets more professional help she could end up killing herself.
We're told Paris' biological mom, Debbie Rowe, has researched adolescent facilities around the country and found one in Utah that would be perfect. But our sources say the facility has turned thumbs down on the request, because honchos at the rehab place fear photogs will go crazy and take pictures of not only Paris but other patients at the facility.
We're told Rowe is not satisfied with the other options, so the search continues ... although we're told people connected with Paris are contacting the facility and asking for reconsideration.
In the meantime, our sources say Paris is stuck at UCLA, and she's in the wing that treats patients with eating disorders -- a problem Paris does not have.
Rowe is telling friends, "It's just a tragedy. This girl needs help."

Media reports circulated on Tuesday that said Paris was going to rehab. However, our sources deny the teenager will go to a rehab facility after leaving UCLA, but will be going to a psychiatric facility.

Last week, Paris’ older brother, Prince Michael, testified at the trial last week, and told jurors complained that concert promoter AEG was “killing him” in the days before his death four years ago.
However, unlike her older brother’s willingness to testify, “Paris wants absolutely nothing to do with the case or the trial. She was becoming extremely upset in the first few days at UCLA when the trial was brought up, and causing her severe anxiety. Paris Jackson does NOT respect authority ... so says her uncle Jermaine Jackson ... who insinuated that P's cutting incident was an overreaction to being told she couldn't go to a concert.
TMZ broke the story ... Paris was hospitalized last month for slicing her arm with a meat cleaver ... after she became upset at being told she was not allowed to attend a Marilyn Manson concert.
Sources say Paris' issues stem from her father's death -- which she's had a very hard time dealing with ever since he passed in 2009.
But when we ran into Jermaine in Calabasas yesterday, he told us ... issues be damned, Paris still needs to learn she can't always do whatever she wants.

The only stumbling block is the security situation. They know there will be a lot of attention on Paris while she's in residence and there's a real danger obsessive fans might try to break in," a source close to the Jackson family stated to The Sun.
Currently, Paris is in hospital after attempting suicide on 5 June. It is rumoured that she slashed her wrists and downed a significant amount of painkillers after learning that her brother Prince Jackson may not be her full biological brother. This was said to be causing major fights between the 15-year-old and her 16-year-old brother. Paris had planned to stay with her biological mother, Debbie Rowe, at her horse ranch, before the suicide attempt.
"As far as Paris is concerned she is fine and is ready to go home, but the doctors and her family are not taking any chances. She tried to end her own life and it doesn't get more serious than that. She was in a terrible state and her family know it would not take much to tip her over the edge again," the source added.
